Object over North East Scotland

Cp

Recommended Posts

On 13th February at approx 19:00 hrs, looking south east from my garden near Aberdeen,at about the 10 o'clock position,I saw what appeared to be a reasonably large and bright "star" rapidly changing colour

Does anyone know what it might have been?

Hello,

Sounds to me like you saw Sirius. It is the brightest star in the sky and over here is stays fairly low. This causes scintilation (The colour changing) due to it's light having to pass through so much atmosphere.

Welcom to SGL BTW :hello1:
