starshoot IV imager

i have got a orion starshoot IV imager the capture software that was suplied with it is rubbish. i have tried using sharpcap 2 but it dont work that well is there any other capture software can i use .i know there are a few members who have the imager what are you using ?

You could try Firecapture

I asked a similar question about my Orion G3 and the developer of Sharpcap replied that, if the ASCOM driver worked, he could develop the code on Sharpcap to capture. I can't get the ASCOM drivers to even load so I guess that's out as well.

Also the processing part of the Orion software is even more rubbish.

I am considering selling it.

FireCapture is worth a try with the SSIV, certainly.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that someone had managed to get their PC to recognise the SSIV as a QHY5 somehow.  It might just be a case of loading the QHY5 firmware.
