Council have put up a sign about two miles away saying they're considering turning off six street lights, oh joy, I can hardly wait.

They've changed the street lights around me to low light level LED.  They illuminate the paving beneath, and not the sky above.  These really allow the stars to shine through.  I'm not sure how they work with imaging though???  I've yet to try it since the street lighting changed.

i actually have (no kidding..) a schedule from the dept. of energy stating when

(and I mean All) electricity will be cut off in my area..

It's called 'load shedding' here...

starting next monday from 20:00 - 22:30

no joke...everything will be cut off
