Searching the forum

Is there a way to search SGL for topics or stuff already answered to save from starting a new thread? I can't see a search option if there is one. Maybe I'm just blind as a bat.

The search option is at the top right hand corner of the page.

One problem of searching for an old topic is that you can resurrect one that is 2  or 3 years old.

It then looks a bit odd as many look and think this was answered and disappeared 2 years back, and many of the people that did answer may not visit anymore.

To some extent a new thread may be better, you get current responses.

Do they have braille star maps? I don't wear specs but maybe I should.

Braille star maps would make sense. No need for a light that will spoil your dark adaptation.

Try searching through google (from your address bar?). Works for me and usually quicker and easier!

Learning braille just to avoid ruining your night vision is only for the really really dedicated astronomer.

I find searching answers about 70% of what I wanted to know so I use it lots and enjoy reading threads old or new.
