finder scope for a dob

Recommended Posts

As the title suggests I am looking at a finders, spec7fically I want a right angle version. The skywatcher version seems cheapest which is corrected for users of sct's . Upight and reversed.

Hope this isntva silly question but do the manufacterers do a version that is corrected for how you view the sky or am I missing something?

There are 2 versions, the RACI one which is as we see with our eyes and an RA one which is right angle, up and down corrected but left and right reversed, which is the refractor / SCT / mak-cass view. I currently use a Rigel Quikfinder RDF and a 9x50 RACI optical on my dob but I have used the other type of RA optical too. I prefer the optical finder to mirror the view my eyes see and the RDF sees but others may have alternative preferences.
