Hi Pete I cant seem to find the 2 stars I have found one in the plough but cant seem to find another star

have you got a star atlas ? or you could download stellarium http://www.stellarium.org/en_GB/  it will help you find your way around the sky

I do have stallarium downloaded on my laptop still trying to understand it , confused to say the least would be good if I can use stellarium and attach my scope to my laptop to find my way around
