Stellarium Wont connect to celestron nexstar 127 slt

Hello People 

I am trying to connect my new celestron to stellaium 

i have connected to correct com3 as it says in device manager but when try to start it just says stopped 

First time trying to connect 

I have installed all the drivers given to me but still does not work 

anyone know how to resolve

i know it should work straight away but it is not 

it should be configured correctly i just dont know

I assume this requires and has the Ascom Driver installed as well..

but i dont get the html page loads after advises about setup ?

Do you have the serial cable plugged into the base of the hand control. It wont work in any of the other sockets and may damage them as it has 12v signal levels.

Hello! New here and am having the exact same problem.

I cannot get my telescope to connect to Stellarium or to Celestron's own computer software. I bought a 15ft USB cord to connect to computer, finally found that it is connected to COM3 but still shows "stopped" in Stellarium and won't even connect in the Celestron software.

I have a Windows 10 laptop and Nexstar 127. 

Looking above, the last question is about the serial cable being plugged in; it is. 

This is really frustrating!

I take it that you have done an alignment before trying to use Stellarium?

Yes, I did.

It won't connect at all.

Have you gone to settings/plug ins and checked the box telescope control load at startup?

I don't have Windows Laptop, I use a MacBook Pro and have no problem.

Hi guys!

Got my issue fixed! I had to download the third party PL 2303 driver and now it works!

Not sure why they don't tell you that upfront but, hey!

Sorry I caused confusion but thank you for your help!

I'm totally new at this and will make many mistakes going forward. Thank you for your patience!
