Just got in after an hour or so in the garden and also had a look at the supernova besides some of the other usual subjects. Didn't think the seeing was great tonight's Jupiter was bubbling madly. Wind not really a factor for me to be honest and just glad to get out....looking at the forecast could have been a good call tonight. Hopefully we can all meet up at least once more before this horrendous winter finishes

I agree Steve, seeing here in Barry was awful as well, could not make out an airey disk when checking collimation.  Managed to bag SN 2014J as well, but not quite visible with direct vision - I think as a result of LP and a little cloud cover.  I felt it had a magnitude of 12.0, but this is about 0.8 mag lower than most estimates on AAVSO, so that's probably my inexperience in play!

You wouldnt have been able to stand up there tonight my bin blew over earlier,and it was nearly full ( not much fun chasing bits of litter around the garden ).I will post the next date later
