My first picture of the Crab Nebula

Hi,

I thought that I'd show you my picture of M1 the Crab Nebula. Its the first time that I have managed to capture it on camera, the reason is I do find it a difficult object to see visually. It is 4 x 30 second exposures stacked using Deep Sky Stacker.

Very nice capture! It is one 'ell of a faint fuzzy aint it?

That looks great Peter - well done on getting a difficult subject - what sort of camera did you use?

Sorry I meant to tell you when I posted the picture what camera and scope that I used.

The camera used was a Canon EOS 20D and the scope was a 12" f6 reflector.

well done Peter on a nice capture , always nice to get this one under your belt , try for a bit longer next time if you can , then maybe you will get those fainter parts of the neb ,

Pretty good going for a 'first' on M1.

Its quite small, and not too bright, so well done.
