Comet Ison and Lovejoy tomorrow morning.

Recommended Posts

Managed the 200 Dob this morning, waited until last of the cloud had gone. At the top of the garden looking north, Vega and Cygnus.

Got a lovely Lovejoy just down between the base stars of Hercules. Even with the full Moon setting it was stunning to get the whole tail at x48 and a wonderfully bright core at x80 widefield 82 degrees ep.

Nick.

Had a cheeky preview of Lovejoy at 6:30 this morning with the 10x50's I'm not supposed to be using yet till Xmas. Unmistakable object and still swooshing its way through Hercules toward Sarin (delta Herculis). Great to see it again and wondering if its my last chance before perihelion. I'm assuming this is still 25 December at 6 am.......now who would be up that time of day?!!!!

Nick, is there something of ISON left to actually spot?
