Heavy rain cleared at lunchtime revealing the forecast " Big and Blue " .... 

 I normally welcome a fresh Northerly bringing in clean Arctic air , but this lot was whistling down on the back of the Jetstream again , the seeing to start with was phenomenal , never seen the like before , exactly like viewing through gently simmering water , we've all described a "boiling" atmosphere before but I shan't moan about the gentle wobbling in future and save the description for days like these ... 

I shot six sets of 150 in all during the 2 hour window , deleted the first 600 as unusable and found 53 from the last set when things had settled slightly.

1000D + ED80Pro + ND3.8 + 1.8 x Barlow + OIII.

1/640s @ ISO 200 , 53/150/750 , Reg 5.1 , Gimp 2.8.

I wish now that I'd shot something with EOSMovieRec early on to show just what the seeing was like , by the time I'd thought about it things had quietened down considerably ...

I normally take just one video but took two today and was surprised that one came out a fair bit better than the other, they were taken just a minute or two apart

Amazing how it is sunny all week (like last week) then forecast to be a dull weekend, this week is turning out to be the same.
