Hi Scoobygazer, Welcome ! The Practical Astronomer is a good book , £10 from book shop. It has lots of constellation info , star charts and lots more. When i got my 1st scope it was cloudy for 2-3 weeks so fingers crossed for some clear skies !

Just done my second obs, I know it wasn't long, but my sciatica is playing up. Thanks for all the tips, got a red torch and heck it makes a difference. Why do people have outside lamps that come on so late when noone is around! Moon was fantastic and my wife had a look and I couldn't get my scope back for 5 mins! Just downloading Stellarium so I can find out the sights I've seen. Clear skies to all. Dave
