In between trying to finish my obsy I had a go at the sun with my Canon 600d and an EF 55-250 zoom lense, set to 200mm.

Camera mounted on my carbon fibre Manfrotto tripod, wind was giving plenty of vibration.

Manual mode 1/4000sec ISO 100 five continuos frames....software PIPP, Registax 6 and bit of processing in Irfanview.

Have'nt a clue if any of this is correct, so don't expect to much.

Thanks James.

Individual frames are not to good, will try for a load more next time.

On a steep learning curve with software, cameras and telescopes etc.

plus must finish that obsy.....nearly done.....just door and lining to do and I can devote more time to imaging.

It is quite a steep learning curve. There's a lot you have to get reasonably well sorted before you can get a decent image at all. The lack of opportunity for regular practice in the UK can make it more tricky, too.
