I should have stitched them together I suppose! there seems to be lots of posts today (good weather?) I'll have to read them all tomorrow :)

Quality Kit and processing produces fantastic images

I still can't decide on a new 1/2" camera to use with the LOHA...

I did pick up a QHY5II-Mono as a lightweight guidecam and tried that yesterday but based on yesterdays experience I don't think it will cut it as a solar cam...

Thanks everyone :) I hope I answer all your questions but if I miss someone just shout.

Steve, I wish it were sunny every weekend, I need to call God :)

Alan, the Solarscope comes with 2 blocking filters, one for use with the single stack and one for use with the double stack. The double stack blocking filter lets more light through than a standard blocking filter to make up for the light level drop using the two etalons. So there is no noticeable drop in light between the SS and DS units. However, I'm not going to use that blocker again as it is useless ;)

Robin, it isn't as portable as the PST no :(

Sarah, first impressions of the Grasshopper is

- it is a **** to get to run on a PC

- once working it is amazing, twice as fast as DMK41, much more sensitive in Halpha, so little noise you don't have to catch or stack many frames, much bigger image.

- If I can get the 16bit to work it will be a cracker, just got to load the Intel fix to sort that problem out.
