August 5, 2013: Second H-alpha mosaic (27 pane)

As a follow up to yesterday's effort, I took another batch of images today, using the same set-up of my LS35THa, DMK21 and TV Powermate 2.5x. Data captured with Sharpcap, stacked in Registax (no wavelets), panes run through Autostitch, and result processed using Registax for wavelets, and gimp for colour curves.

The first set of results (using the same Autostitch settings as before) yielded this

A kink in the contour can be seen on the right. After a few experiments, and a hunch about the stage of processing which could cause this kink, I found that reducing the minimum SIFT feature size from 400 to 225 yielded a decent result, as shown below
