Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell

Recommended Posts

Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell (Queen of Pulsars) is giving a talk entitled "What's going on in the Universe" in the Main Lecture Theatre (Rm 3.25) University of Strathclyde, John Anderson Building at 7.30pm on Wednesday 12th December.

The event is being run by The Royal Philosophical Society of Glasgow, is free, and is open to non-members.

She is a good speaker and the subject is likely to be of interest to SGL members.

Hi,

too far for me too I am afraid ( " just fly up ", yeah I know, but, our nearest real airport is Bristol --180miles away ).

I have heard Jocelyn talk and this will be well worth attending.

I spent 3 years at Strathclyde on the staff in Chemistry in the 80's, it

is a great place and Glasgow is a blast.

Get there if you can guys.
