Have i got a bargain

I was looking to upgrade my Barlow lens when i came across a Celestron Omni x2 on ebay for £25 a quick check round told me i have got it for at least half price but have i jumped the gun and bought it without getting a review, there is not much information out there i can find can anyone tell me if ive wasted my money or are these any good next time i will ask first.

They are OK. A decent 2 element barlow. It's the Celestron Ultima barlows that are the ones of that brand to look for but they don't usually go for £25 !

or the orion shorty + , i believe its the same as the ultima

I have the Ultima 2x barlow and it is very good. They don't do them anymore, so the only way to get them is through the second hand market.

For £25 you do have a bargain, you won't have wasted your money.

If nothing else it will give you the opportunity to try out using a barlow. If you like it you can always at some point in the future upgrade.

I've used one for years with my etx90, it meant I didn't need to invest in any more EPs. Now I have the 200p, I've decided I'd like to build up a collection of focal lengths I use the most.

I'm sure you'll be able to decide for yourself.
