I am still playing with imaging through the PST, it's early days yet but starting to get something recogniseable. I did not have much time tonight after work but grabbed a couple of avi's, one of which turned out ok.

It's certainly a challenge. Ideally I could do with a new laptop and something like a DMK but neither of those is going to happen any time soon So I shall persever with the Quickcam and my old Dell laptop and see how far I get.

Very nice white light David, keep trying with your PST, you will get there eventually. Colour cams aren't ideal for Ha, only one third of the chip does anything for a start. If you can get focus, you might be better off with your DSLR.

No sun here until mid-afternoon, the problem of living close to the NE coast, had to wait until 17:30.

Thanks Robin. Maybe I will try the DSLR but will need to use my barlow to get focus I suspect. I wasn't able to use it before as the mount only just coped with the PST let alone a DSLR on top of that.

Lovely white-light disk. That PST shot is showing promise. The surface is however a touch too bright, and the proms are still a bit noisy. I think this is about as good as it gets in a single exposure. I generally try to capture two exposures: one for the proms and one for the disk, and then I try to combine these.
