28x120sec exposures+darks+lights. unmodded canon 1100d, unguided neq6 with poor pa and no drift alignment. It's no world beater but it was just great to get out there under the haze....err...I mean stars .

Thanks for the kind words. Yes faulksy, I was surprised it came out as well as it did concidering I could not make out all the stars in cassiopia... Never has this happened from my garden before. Cloudy nights excluded

Really nice image. I am going to try this myself tonight. Your image has made me realise i need to get a remote control for the camera or a laptop as I'm stuck doing 30second exposures at the moment as its the maximum on the camera.

I was in this position a week or two back - I went down the laptop route and now use Backyard EOS to control the camera. I can't see myself ever needing anything else, and with your camera I think you'll benefit from the live-view as well (which will help with focussing too).
