Which filter

  1. 1. Which is better: red filter or orange filter?

The red filter seems to give a much sharper image and better defined faculae. However this could also have been seeing variability as they were tested on different days. I am also presuming this is a filter test and not a colour preference test?

Actually this is a colour test.....My solar filter is white light but the camera has some presets for "colourising" the image at the point of capture. I have some custom settings and I reserve No 3 for sun images....

Filters is a whole new ball game. I am not "there" yet.
