Not so early sun in Ha 14th June

Hi,

I was determined to get a capture of the sun in Ha with all of the activity at present. I set up yesterday morning, got everything focused and then the sun went behind cloud so tried again today. The high cloud never really cleared (slight loss of contrast) and these two images were all I got. AS!2 wouldn't stack them with the cloud, so they were processed using Registax 5.1.

I didn't get enough time to adjust the DS correctly, so it is slightly off band at the bottom, but I am still happy with the results.

Well done Robin. The third and fourth pics looks better. The sun is trying to shine today, but the damn cloud!!!

Alexandra, back to taking a single stack first, get the tuning right and then fit the double stack unit. Pity about the cloud this morning and the need to pack up and go to work, I might have got the double stack right.

Yay !! just got my first look for days with the pst in its original configuration on a tripod. lovely.

There are some nice proms at the top. (or should I say, the bottom.)

Well done, Robin, I like the double stack most as well. I was tempted to try a quick imaging session but settled for a quick bit of visual. Hope we get some sunshine over the weekend!
