It's still visible

Had a brief look at PANSTARRS again tonight. It's still visible and not too hard to spot in the dob. Will be interesting to see how long it's visible for.

It was not visible here, but that was due to cloud. Good to hear those without the white fluffy stuff are still seeing it.

Yes, it will be more of a challenge as the days go on, but it's in a good part of the sky for me at the moment. Above the street lights and not obscured by houses or trees.

Managed to catch up with it again a couple of days ago. It's certainly lost that 'comet' look about it... bit of a faint fuzzy now.

I checked my blog last night and it was the 1st of April when. First spotted it. Seems like an age ago now. Roll on ISON!

Any idea what sort of magnitude PanSTAARS is at? I've been looking it for it recently but I can't identify it with my 80mm binoculars, 90mm refractor or TAL100RS. That said, I'm not a very expeienced observer (although I recently found M13 by accident).

I've just had a look at Sky Safari and it's listed as magnitude +8.9, so not the brightest of objects.

Fainter than neptune. No suprise its difficult to see.

That means I MIT have luck with Neptune then!

Its reasonably easy I'm my 10 inch dob when you know where to look at the moment.
