Projection

Jack, I tried projection when I started, but I found that the lens on the 350D was so much wider than the eyepiece that it was next to impossible to see anything. I got a T-Ring (already had an adaptor to attach that to the scope - came with the scope - SkyWatcher Evostar 120) and that works a treat. I had to remove the diagonal to get it to focus.

I was about to go back down this route.

With my last camera (that I foolishly sold), the afocal method introduced major vignetting unless the zoom lens was zoomed in (about half way to full zoom was required).

I will be giving this another go, but after reading this thread I will try everything hand held before investing money in something that may not work.

Cheers

Ant
