I really needed a new mount for my AP work.

After reading a lot of reviews and topics mostly the advice was: buy a neq6.

Still I have decided for a heq5 since the neq6 is a bit overkill for my 6" newt and even when I want to go to an 8" someday i think it will still be good.

Also financially this was what I could muster together..

I came a long way in AP, in a year, even with a eq5 pro mount so this is definitely a major improvement.

Also were I live, in the netherlands, the mounts are more expensive.

I wish I could have ordered from FLO or Modern Astronomy, would have saved me 100 euros, but if something goes wrong with the mount I rather go to a shop here then sending it all abroad hehe..

Still I am excited that the heq5 is coming soon and can't wait to try it out.

Funny how these things can bring a childish smile on this 42 year old.. lol

Thanks Michael :)

I hope you don't have the same thing happen to you, the mount comes in two boxes but unfortunately mine got seperated at the sorting depo.

So I had the mount head come one day and had to wait a few days for the legs to arrive lol
