Possibly. Maxvision make telescopes for Meade and also sell the same telescopes under their own name.

They look the same but are they the same, It is a long on-going debate as the whether some of the older Meades were indeed the same as the ExSc eyepieces, the optical design I am sure is the same but coatings can differ and are very important, you also have to consider different levels of quality control. One reason I like Televue and Pentax there are no clones, well at least not as far as I know.

Maxvision is one of JOC's brand within China. I didn't know they are available outside China.

In the West, JOC trades under the brand Explore Scientific.
