White light Sun, 30th April

Lovely clear sky when I captured the subs for this image just before elevenses this morning. Far from the best seeing, but at least the wind had started to calm. After the excitement of imaging Saturn and finding my last Messier object last night it was a bit of a let-down.

Focusing was tricky, but other than that I had an easy time running off 120 frames of 1/1000th @ ISO100 using the 450D and 127 Mak, preprocessed in PIPP and stacked half in Registax v6 at what it claimed was a quality level of better than 98%. I think the laptop is suffering from impaired judgement due to being out late several nights on the trot
