Jupiter South Pole animation

Been having another play with Winjupos mapping and created an animation from a South Pole projection from Nov 28th 2012. Unfortunately the mapping has squished the moon transit somewhat. Capture time was just over 1hr 30 mins.

That is truely awesome, I have played with this kind of thing myself and I know how hard it is to get results like that, well done sir my hat is off to you.

PS the moon comming across was just perfect.

Interesting I have not tried anything like this. Is it very time consuming doing these Stuart. Good result

Great animation Stuart - must have a look at Winjupos when I get some decent data It does give an impression of how fast those air streams are circulating, particularly watching the small white clouds in the dark band to SW of the GRS.

Cheers guys! its dead easy Neil once you've measured the planet as you would for de-rotation just select "Analysis" then "Map computation" and load up the ims file. I animated the maps in PIPP. I reckon I can get a full disk with the Mars data from last year which can also be projected onto a globe simulation using "Ephemerides". Its all great fun!
