Morgans 880 web cam

Hi All,

A while a go,i purchased a web cam from Morgans.

Sadly,after one thing or another,im finally trying to get around to using it.

The PC that i was going to use has now 'died',hard drive failure i think that means,and i am hopeless on this technical stuff!

Have now got a 2nd hand laptop,installed Registax and SharpCap.But i seem to remember that the web cam needs 'flashing'?

Am i correct on this? I have tried searching for the thread,but not come across it.

You don't have to flash it but it does open more control features by doing so.

Morgans sold some of them pre-flashed, but if yours isn't one then yes, you need to flash it with the SPC900 firmware yourself using a Windows XP box, so finding such a beast is your first port of call. Then perhaps the best place to start is here:

You will need a computer running Windows XP, once flashed I think people have been able to run it on Windows Vista and Windows 7.

I have just had a go at downloading the files,after watching the above video.

Managed to install the wcctrl-1.6.52,and wcrmac-2.0.85.But unable to find

the third one he mentions!

Away from home at the moment,so don't have the webcam to try it out.

Hello James.The part in the video where he mentions moving a spc900ncb? file.

The other files/folders i have managed to find,in the TWIRG folder.

But,im not over confident with computers.lol
