Very short time on this only 1hr with 10 x 2min exposures using the 16803 and Tak106 I cropped it down some

With this image I did the whole process in Pixinsight from calibration to processing

A single star is just rather 'graphic'.... and bold....

Makes quite a nice change from just the faint deep sky stuff - a fine addition to your portfolio.

A bright star is a good test of processing skills. Don't mean to buck the above comments, but Capella is very purple on my screen. I have a new laptop and have not calibrated with a Spyder yet just by eye on the Windows calibration program. Maybe its on my end?

Actually Tom has a point Les. I'm hooked-up to my (Spyder) calibrated 30" Apple Cinema display now and it does have a magenta cast?

Probably something you can easily rectify...?!

The trusted RCOS on a break?

All screens are different, mine shows the background a bit rich in red. But a bright 'one star' image in such a rich field is difficult to pull off - in fact I've seen none better than this.

I like it a lot!

It does have a hint of red i would not say purple but it is hovering into the red i have been playing with it in pixinsight so now i have 20 versions

The Rcos is ready for the galaxys with the 8300 camera on
