    From the album: My starting out pics

    shot with an un modded canon 60d through a skywatcher ED80 pro with 0.85 focal reducer / flatner and IDAS P2 LPS filter on a HEQ5 pro mount controlled via EQMOD on the laptop. This is 22 light frames shot at 800iso for 300 seconds each with matching flats bias and dark frames. stacked and aligned with DSS and processed in photoshop / lightroom

    Thank you Andy, this was taken under a Fairly dark sky on the beach just outside Plymouth city center. this and my other milky way pics were my first ever attempt at taking pictures of the night sky. they turned out ok with no knowledge about photography or astronomy, or no processing skills. hopefully I can get out again this summer and try again with everything i have learnt so far

    this is my second attempt at Jupiter taken 17-2-2013 with the ED80 and the QHY5v using two x2 Barlow lenses together. this was 1750 frames stacked and aligned in Registax and touched up with Photoshop

    this is my first ever attempt at a lunar mosaic taken the 20th of January 2013, this comprises of 7 panels, each consisting of 500 frames. taken at 100iso and 1/50 shutter speed with my Canon 60D stacked and aligned with Registax and then put together in Photoshop

    This is my second attempt at M42, taken over the period of 4 weeks due to the cloud and rain Taken through the skywatcher ED80pro on the Heq5 with a Canon 60D un-modded with EQMOD and Backyard Eos. Consists of 51 lights at 1600iso for 60 seconds with 30 darks, bias and flat frames and another 60 lights at 10sec with matching darks and flats for the core processed with DSS and Photoshop CS6

    This is my first ever guided image, This shot was taken on the 6th of February 2013 with my Sky Watcher ED80 pro mounted on the HEQ5 pro with an un-modded can 60D Consisting of 24 lights at 300 seconds at 400iso with matching calibration frames

    My first Jupiter attempt on the 16.2.13 at 7.30 pm, taken with a QHY5v planetary / guide cam through my ED80 pro with a 1.5x barlow This was a stack of 500 frames at 9.3 fps and then run through Registax
