1st Lunar Image (Prime Focus)

Had some clear skies night last night so thought we'd put our 150p-ds towards the moon and see what we could achieve, was only out for about 20 minutes

But were happy with what we got.

They're nice shots but I have to be honest, I think you've oversharpened them. They look a bit like watercolour paintings and not photographs. Having said that I don't know what camera you're using. It may just be the way that particular piece of equipment works, or that may just be how you like your shots to look in which case, there's nothing wrong about that. You have achieved a nice contrast between light and dark areas though.

Very nice set Andy, maybe slightly over sharpened but i think it all comes down to personal taste when processing, lovely detail well done!

Hi Andy, the original shot looks really good. Even with the small size you can see a lot of detail & the exposure is pretty good too.

The processed images are a bit posterized for my taste, but as Simon says (oh...that brings back memories!) it is all down to personal choice.

Well done anyway, it's a nice pic.

The original shot is really good. I tend to agree the others are just a shade over processed.
