Best of a short session...

Got a couple of hours in last night- but plauged by guiding issues, equipment breakage and finally fog.......

So- a single 60s sub of M45 through 12" F2.9 scope and Orion Skyglow LP filter. Camera was Fuji S5 Pro @ ISO1000, no darks/flats.

Single 300s sub of M42 through 12" F2.9 scope and Orion Skyglow LP filter. Camera was Fuji S5 Pro @ ISO1000, no darks/flats.

It's a fast scope but the biggest problem I currently have with it is the uneven field illumination. I need to find a way of making meaningfull flat field images 14" across. Any suggestions?

i had the same when i first got the quattro at F3.6 it was the secondary had a tilt so was not sitting square. are you using a self centering adapter to make sure you camera is square in your focuser ?
