150pds & Heq5 Unboxing (My first telescope)

My kit arrived today, swift service from FLO. Went together easier than I though it would. A bit surprised at the size/weight.

As promised some unboxing pictures, sorry about phone quality pics.

I had these left over, not sure what they are! Any ideas?

Next job is to collimate and polar align (when skies allow) - both firsts for me so should be interesting!

They go in mount for latitude i think .up and down .one infront one in back

Nice bit of kit, the 2 threads bolts, go in the base of the HEQ6, there used to set the degree it points up at,,,,,your find 2 holes one front the other at the rear,,,just above the top of the tripod....

Move it up and down .but you set the mount to your latitude

They're your latitude bolts used to set (you guessed it ) your latitude. Nice scope btw.

Now that seems familiar. The HEQ-5 and NEQ-6 look really similar. And a cracking scope too!

If you get too confused by the whole setup (the manual sucks) you should check out this video series (multi part), its for the NEQ-6 but it also applies mostly to the HEQ-5.
