6v power adapter for dual axis motors

I guess that the difficulty might be whether or not the cord is long enough for you to plug it in indoors? If you had to use a extension cable, I would be worried about water/dew etc? I just use rechargeable D batteries with my EQ5 DA motors.

I'd go for something that is clearly stated as a regulated supply and would agree with the above that you should get at least a 2 amp supply (the mount will draw the current it needs so no problem having a supply rated at higher ampage than you need).

I should have said that I use a 6v 4Ah lead acid battery for my own EQ5 with dual motors. I have made a box for it and a power lead etc. This will happily run the mount for a couple of hours and cost under £15 for all the bits including the battery and charger. Should you need longer "run time" then a larger capacity 6v battery will do the trick for you.
