hope you dont mind i ran you picture through HLGV found here http://blog.deepskyc...ista-green.html it gets rid of the green noise in an image its a great plugin for PS and its free :) and aligned your RGB and a dose of deep sky noise reduction in noels actions in CS6 you have a nice picture there lots of detail lots the core abit though which is what you didnt want to do :p but hope you can see the difference it makes

You've done a good job on managing the brightnesses. There is, however, a colour change between the Trap region (which is on the green side) and the outer region. I'm not sure what method you used (my preference being this one; http://www.astropix.com/HTML/J_DIGIT/LAYMASK.HTM ) but before falttening I'd play around with the colour balance in the Trap layer and also up the saturation for the Trap. Bright tends to mean thin colour and with strong signal you can boost saturation without provoking noise.

Thanks all, I'm pretty happy with this as a first layering effort.

Daniel-K, I don't mind. It's always helpful to see what others can do with my data. It all helps. For instance, I have HLVG but hadn't thought to use it here.

Thanks Olly, I actually used that method as my guide for this image.

I'm going to leave this image as it is for now and go for more data and try again.

Again, thanks for all your comments. It's very encouraging, gives me the idea that I'm on the right track. :grin:

I was just about to do the same thing in Photoshop! You beat me to it! Great job though.
