Jupiter shadow transits

I have seen a few pictures from Hubble of a multi-shadow transit on Jupiter, but never observed one. I'm just wondering if there is a timetable of all the mulitple shadow transits on Jupiter. When is the next one and how many are there a year? Thanks in advance.

I have used that before but my finger got very tired after pressing the +1 hour button and after going up to December 2013 I gave up and thought there might be an easier way or someone who used math to figure out the precise date and times of these spectacular events.

Thanks for that Tony... but the times, the times. Are those times in UT or your local time? And is there a list of double shadow transits?

It's GMT time josh. It just has triple transits, can't help you with double.

There is a free java program called "jupiter2" that i use for things like this, gives you a visual of how jupiter is now or at any specified time, and gives you a list of interesting things happening in the next week.

I remember that in 1980 there were several multiple transits taking place (in March, April, and May, in particular). I spotted at least one triple transit. I got up at 2 or 3, set up the scope, and watched the spectacle until 5 or 6. Really nice.

There is a double transit on the 27th of December Io starts at 16.33 Ganymede ends at 16.48. After that I can't help, sorry.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for good weather then. Those figures are 17.33 and 17.48 over here, so it should be dark, and Jupiter should be high enough.
