Total Solar Eclipse from Port Douglas.

Some pictures of the event from yesterday. Early start for the day got to viewing area by 5:00am. Had a battle with the clouds which meant I missed first contact. Still worht the effort to travel to far northern Queensland for the event.

Nice show, did you go all goosepimply during totallity? I did during the 2009 event...

I did not go goose bumpy during totalily but had a wonderful feeling seeing it again after nearly three years since China. in the 2 minutes I wanted to take pictures, look for Venus and just look at the totalily with my own eyes. A lot to get in in two minutes, would i do it again...... yes, came to Oz for 26 seconds in 2002. Once hooked it is a subject i would not hopefully miss.

Excellent shots. One of the girls from work was in Australia for the past few weeks and she was telling people how totally pointless and rubbish the eclipse was! Philistine!
