laser_jock99
I found a 'HDR image merge' function on my Paint Shop Pro software so I thought I'd give it a go with some astro images. To be honest I wasn't expecting much of a result but it seemed to do an okay job of aligning, stacking and tone mapping the 10 subs I dragged into the utility. Exposures ranged from 10s @ ISO800, 600s @ ISO800 & 120s @ ISO3200. Camera was a Fuji IS Pro, scope was Altair Astro Starwave ED80.A bit more experimation and I think I could finaly get an image of M42 without a burned core. ollypenrice
You're certainly getting pretty close to the hot stuff there. Personally, however, I'd merge the Trapezium data following this method;http://www.astropix.com/HTML/J_DIGIT/LAYMASK.HTMIt gives you more control over what's happening to the different exposure layers.Olly
