What does he expect when using 50x50 Steel Ladle's?

I like these type of reviews, like him or hate him Clarkson does the same.

Shame more do not appear in things like S@N and Astronomy Today etc.

Sometimes I would really like to find out what people actually think about many of the items we buy.

I can't believe the state of those prisms... It's one thing to use poor quality components, but to use stuff that is just outright broken.... Jesus...

I had a pair that had the same body, complete with bullet shapes on the prism housings and the compass on the hinge. The general workmanship wasn't quite so shoddy, but with the highly-reflective ruby coated objectives the optical performance was still pretty rubbish; Jupiter appeared as a screwy rainbow-coloured shape and its moons were entirely invisible.

Before I knew better, I bought a set of "professional 10x50 binoculars"

When they arrived, it turns out they were red lensed Tasco,s with 50x50 on them.

After a quick test, they actually magnified around 4-5x

That is a truly horrific set of binoculars. Deary me!
