Gottzi
Thanks to all of your input I finally made my decision to purchase a Rigel Quickfinder and a 6x30 finderscope to sit long side it and then my mother in law asked what I wanted for Christmas. So now both are on order and I can't wait for Christmas. Cheers everyone and a salute to mother in laws everywhere.
LukeSkywatcher
I know many people use both systems at the same time, but is there really a need to do so?. Surely its just adding cost.
Moonshane
I wouldn't be without my telrad and RACI 9x50 finder combo.makes finding things so much easier. depends on your style of observing I suppose.
Fordos Moon
Must confess I use my telrad to get roughly in the right place, then the supplied finder scope for more accuracy, I find the less bright stars are less obvious in the telrad, but then I'm still learning
Moonshane
in light polluted areas (like mine) it's hard to see anything but main bright stars sometimes. I can sometimes only just see all the stars in the main plough in UMa.
