Apologies this must have been discussed but I can't find it. Any recommendations for the above? I'm going to need to travel with my scope to darker skies quite a bit so wondered if there is anything to protect my new lady which is value for money out there, other than the foam packaging and my duvet?

These are designed for the Orion XT range of scopes which are identical to Skywatcher. Get the XT8 version.

Those scope cases look like they will do the job well, I was thinking of a wooden case for the OTA but it would be quite heavy.

This is something i need to look into when i can lose £76. I still keep mine in the box it came in, but would be much easier putting it into the car etc if in a bag. I will bookmark the link.

i use a snowboarding bag, mine was £20 on ebay. used it the other night to take to a dark site, works well
