Wow, Money To Spend!

Just had a lovely cheque drop through the letterbox, £500 from some old stuff we had sent to an auction house ages ago, so me and the wife are going to split it 50/50. Obviously hers will go on shoes and hairdressers, but what should I splash mine on? I was thinking about getting a Hyperion zoom eyepiece anyway, so at the moment that is favourite, but can anybody suggest anything that may be a better investment and would give me improved views?

I think your heading in the right direction buying EP's i'm not a fan of Zooms, but each to his own, and its your money....

Maybe a barlow would be handy to extend the range of your current EP collection and/or a wide angle (low mag) EP?

Thanks for the suggestions, @Qualia, I have a barlow which came with the Revelation set and also included a 32mm eyepiece. The eyepiece is pretty good and I use it all the time, the barlow isn't that great, I wanted a Tal 2x, but these are very hard to get it seems.

@VigdisVZ, I have a Hotech laser which seems to do the job fine.

@Pibbles, these do seem pretty nice eyepieces, does anybody have any experience of using them?

You have a fast scope, I'd go for a couple used quality EP's.

I just bought some of the Celestron X-cel LX eyepieces. They have good eye relief, much more comfortable than my SW plossis i have, £70 each off FLO, but can be found for £60 if you go elsewhere.

I think they are pretty new to the market, there is a thread here about them....

I don't think the Baader Classic Orthos / Plossl have actually landed in the UK yet. Soon though, hopefully.
