Feels like its been a while since we did any observing what with the weather and all. Fingers crossed we'll get some clear nights this week.

It's coming up to New moon, so its bound to be clear at some point... Right??

I'd be up for later this week. Early starts at work mean I can't stay late though.

A spontaneous observing sesh is in order. I've not seen anything for ages it seems

It seems to be changing every hour, but wednesday looks to be very promising at the moment.

Its been so long I can't remember what my scope looks like so I should really try and make it if its clear. Plus I bought a Samsung Tab yesterday and want to try out some astronomy apps.

Hi Jamie, thanks for the tips. I already use Stellarium but will check out sat24 especially as Astropanel is suffering everytime 7timer's server plays up.

Forecast indicates low amounts of cloud, good transparency and ok seeing.

I was thinking about it, but I didn't think the forecast looked that good.

If you guys think it's going to be good I will definitely be up for it. I can't make it down there until about 9-9:30 though...

Seriously though it might be worth waiting until 7:30ish to see what its actually like.Theres low amounts of cloud here at the moment but we know how quickly that can change.
