red dot finder trouble

Hi all, has anyone had any problems with the skywatcher red dot finder? I bought a startravel 102 for my dads birthday and the finder has stopped working after only a few days, changed batteries but no joy. Im going to ring F L O tomorrow but wondered if its a common fault?

It does seem that some of them can be a bit unreliable. I've not known one to fail within a few days though. It's probably worth checking the battery and contacts, but I'm sure FLO will sort you out if there's a problem.

Glad i bought it from F L O now, I actually found it cheaper from a different supplier but i've read very good reviews about F L O so went with them. I'll see what they say tomorrow.

my rdf has a similar problem, i find if i turn it on and off a few times it eventually comes on. if it stopped working after 3 days though i think i'd be looking for a replacement. hth
