Hercules cluster first view

Just got my first DSO. lovely clear night here. I just found the globular cluster ,M13, for the first time. Even from my light polluted balcony the view was really nice. The best view was with a vixen 15mm npl. With the 10mm it was OK but with the 6mm I could not get it in focus.

Even without dark adjusted eyes it was a real treat. Can't wait to see it again.

M92's a higher location in Hercules, much smaller and harder to resolve.

Focussing and collimating are critical at x200.You should be able to pick up dust lanes and chains of stars in M13 at x120,nice.

Nice one. The messier globs are great targets in a 10" scope. A vast majority show a huge amount of detail.

It just gets better. Just observed M57 with the Lightbridge. Very faint but still very happy to have seen it. I used a Vixen 15mm NPL Stellarium is the best thing since sliced bread.
