I've just pointed a pair of binoculars at the sky for the very first time. Wow!

There is so much to see!

And a brief glimpse of the moon. Oh my!

I really need to get out with my scope for the first time.

I agree, pointing a set of binoculars at the skies for the first time is amazing. Just the number of stars that appear can keep me busy for hours.

I have to concur that the night sky through bins is thoroughly rewarding.Also remember that no matter what scope(if any)you end up with,your bins will never become 'redundant'.

I spent a very pleasant hour last night in my garden, lying on a sun lounger, looking up with my bins. The wiew from my garden is extremely limited as it is surrounded by tall buildings, last night I could only see Lyra and Cygnus. Even so, there were plenty of pretty doubles, clusters and more stars than you can count.

The noobie excitement doesn't wear off.

Good pair of bins is probably the best bit of astronomical kit you can buy.
