I'm not sure that most people would manage "mount for a 40kg OTA" and "affordable" in the same sentence :)

Olly has been singing the praises of the Mesu 200 for some time and if it does what it says on the tin then it appears very reasonably-priced for what it does. Not that I could afford one without selling a child first.

Give Bernard at Modern Astronomy a ring re the Mesu - http://www.modernast...mounts.htm#mesu - he will be able to tell you a lot about it. When I have had the chance(!!) I have been hugely impressed by mine so far. It will easily handle 40Kgs; what are you thinking about getting?

Hi , One of these Orion Optics ODK 16

Should be good for imaging and viewing ( I hope )

Early days yet , I have some reserch and reviews to read first
