This is my first colour image since last year.. so I thought id post it up

Its 19x 600s Ha / 9x600s O3

WO zenithstar 70 (old style) on HEQ5, Atik 314l+, 1,25" baader filters

The O3 data was poor and added some noise to the image but I quite liked the outcome and with these endless cloudy night you have to make use of any breaks..

That is simply beautiful, almost like sand blowing off a celestial sand dune.

Lovely processing.

How do you decide on your sub lengths shaunster ? I'm trying to get to grips with how people decide on sub lengths for LRGB and narrowband images.

Thanks everyone :)

It was mapped Ha = R / O3 = G / Ha + O3 = blue (Ha was layered onto O3, opacity set to 30%, blend mode lighten.) Its not an exact thing, I just play around until I get a look I like. I do not like strong reds so I tend to tone it down a little.

Sub length depends on how bright the target is really, I dont go less then 600second for narrowband stuff though.

Forgot to say I was using a reducer so it was shot at F4.8.
