It was an early evening pass so I wasn't able to refocus before it came over.

That is a great image showing some fine detail. It looks like the focus was close even without being able to refocus.

I used a DMK21 +IR Filter on a C9.25 manually guided wthrough finder.

1/1250 sec, high gamma, low gain, 30 fps

I had focused it the night before but that's no guarantee with an SCT.

Even though it is only a couple of hundred Kilometers away, i just think images of this from the ground are AMAZING.

I guess it is the hard work involved in imaging it that impresses me most.

On a related not, what's the smallest a scope can be whilst still being able to see detail in the ISS?

I started off imaging it with a 6" F5 Newt and as you can see there's still quite a bit of detail

That really shows the advantage of using a colour camera for ISS imaging, great colour contrast on the first images.

Although I agree to a degree and do really like the effect you get with colour - you get 4 times as many pixels with a mono camera so should be able to see smaller details.
