Single speed R&P focuser made easier to use

I take no credit for this modification at all. I found that my single speed R&P focuser was an absolute dream to use, but I struggled geting the fine adjustments needed for imaging. Cue an email to Olly, who I knew used similar focusers and a diagram back from him and a nice simple solution. The idea is to make a wand that attaches to the focuser knob so you can make fine adjustments.

My husband took the drawing and using only 2 jubilee clips came up with something that works like a dream.

I had never thought about this mod to make it easier, so perhaps there are some out there, like me, with a single speed focuser, wondering how to get a nice fine adjustment. I hope that this will be useful to someone at least

It's the R&P version of the coffee jar lid focuser mod for Maks Though actually I used to use a clothes peg rather than a jar lid before I went all electrificated.

Hopefully it may help someone - I wish I'd seen this sort of thing before I struggled with the fine tune focusing

I'm sure TeleVue came out with a similar device? ie: A long bar that could attach to the focus wheel. At TeleVue prices of course

Yes, Olly said that TV had some wand device, but he couldn't find any info on it. This mod does fine and at a fraction of the price!
